Is there on the flash the small window for photosensor? What is the power supply of the flash? The pictures are not informative.

Thank You for your quick response and I will add images as per your topics.
The flash works on 4 X 1.5V batteries (6V total) or you can connect directly to AC 120V but after 2 or 3 models the AC connection was cancelled from it.
So, I will tell you the story :razz:
I was trying to make a small ring flash and I talked with Andrey “http://www.osipoff.ru/” about it.

We got this Idea (Attached the block diagram) and when I was working with tests … it was working so perfectly for one flash with 3 Lamps (Working on 4 batteries).
When I started to connect the Lead Acid Battery (6V 10Ahr)… The step up Transformer become so hot and The 2 Transistors which I found on the board become smoky and The Flash stop working.
I guess something wrong with Transformer and 2 Transistors so I need the circuit diagram to try to repair it (Take in your consideration I’m not so good in electronics)
Your Help is appreciated.

There is not the schema for this flash. Anyway, I have not.
If you can, make the pictures of top side and back side of board. And picture of the transistors marking. Often, checkup the circuitry make possible to find the marking of transistors, or to understood which structure used- pnp or npn and to replace the damaged items by new or similar.
I suppose that fresh charged Lead Acid Battery had the voltage over 7 Volts and its internal resistance was critically small for this flash. Smaller than resistance of 4 alkaline battery. And the transistor burnt. You should connect the Lead Acid Battery to DC-Dc converter in series with resistor 0,2-0,5 Ohm 2-5 Watts to reduce the current over the transistor.

Attached are the requested Images. As you will see There are 2 transistors are connected in parallel with each other. I removed one to get the replacement.

The circuit is so simple so I wish if I can do it or To do similar to make my ring flash.

Concerning the Lead Acid Battery … I should put only a Resistance 0.2 to 0.5 Ohm (2to5 Watt) in series to the flash.
Or I have to make a DC-DC converter then put this resistance.

Yasser , test, please, when main switch is ON, were is connected the "+" of battery? To point 1 or to point 2?
Or, may be the points 1 and 2 are short connected via damaged B492. Unsolder it.

Probably we should search the modern PNP transistor with collector-emitter voltage over 20-30 V, and collector current over 3-5 Amperes. Also curretn gain (hFE) should be over 40.

Concerning the the battery, I attached this circuit... Is it correct?!

The connection through IC7806 is correct. But IC is not necessary, only one resistor is enough.

Because there is not real datasheet for B492, I doubt for transistors structure: PNP or NPN.
Please, see on https://impulsite.ru/ctlg/popular/606/0103f109b4cd.jpg and check: is the "+" of battery (its red wire) connects to point 1 or to poin 2, when main switch is ON.

Or remove the last B492, connect the battery to the flash and check the voltage on points 1 and 2. We should know, is the #2 positive comparatively to the #1?
If #2 is positive, so we should replace transistors wth PNP-transistors, like: 2SB1148, SB772, B893, 2SA1834, 2SA2179, B1426,BTA1300A and the similar with low saturation voltage, current over 3-5 Ampers and working voltage over 20-30 Volts.

A big Surprise :lol:
The Transistor B429 is working… Yesterday I bought AC180 as a replacement for B429 but The Flash did not work. I test the B429 with Ohmmeter as standalone and its read Ohms between B&C and B&E.
Another Surprise the Volt=0.02v on the Flash board between –Vin & +Vin and between Points 1 & 2

I was testing with (4x1.2v=4.8v)”Recharging Ni-mH batteries “
So, something wrong with primary step up transformer … I guess that.
What is your Opinion?!

Volt=0.02v on the Flash board between –Vin & +Vin and between Points 1 & 2
Is it metered with the B492 on the board ?
If transistor is damaged and its collector and emitter are short connected, so voltage between Points 1 & 2 will be very low, as metered.

Please remove B492 from board and meter the voltage again.

As you marked "-Vin" connected to #2, so voltage on #1 must be more positive than #2. And in this case transistor must be NPN-structure.

When B492 will be removed, the voltage between #2 and #1 will be the same as on battery.

NPN transistors used in step-up converters: D965, 2SC3072, 2SC3420, 2SD1406, 2SD2470 and the similar with low saturation voltage, current over 3-5 Ampers and working voltage over 20-30 Volts.-Vin
